Instead of using a clutch cable to engage or disengage your engine from your transmission, hydraulic clutches are hydraulic mechanisms that force pressurized hydraulic fluid through to the clutch disengagement mechanism.
Despite hydraulic clutches being 'self adjusting', the fluid level in the reservoir in your hydraulic clutch needs to be checked regularly and changed annually to remove impurities. Blockages and worn seals in the hydraulic system can cause a hard or stiff clutch.
If your hydraulic clutch is under-performing, then it is time for a replacement.
